Product updates
What’s new, improved, and fixed in Edit. Newest first.
-
Fixed
White label tab icon
With white label on, the browser tab shows your logo instead of Edit's icon in Safari too, and an app installed from your link uses your logo.
-
Fixed
Other on your booking form
If Other is one of your session types, your booking form now shows it once, and a client who picks it gets your Other questions, deposit, required photo, and terms, plus a box to describe the session.
-
Fixed
Deposit invoices stay on schedule
After an on-time deposit, the rest of the invoice is no longer marked past due or charged a late fee before its own due date. An unpaid deposit now gets its reminders, and payment emails and bells no longer say an invoice is paid when only part of it is in. Paying several invoices at once now shows the same amount it charges.
-
Fixed
Agreements keep their line breaks
Since October 19, lines you typed in an agreement or template (pressing Enter after a heading, or a template written from scratch) could run together into one paragraph when shown or saved. Every line now stays on its own line, and agreements saved before October 19 show correctly again.
-
Fixed
Reminders, notices, and links behave as promised
Delivery "expires soon" emails now give the real date and time the download stops. Deposit balance reminders held by Silent Mode now go out after it ends instead of being skipped. Archived clients who still owe you keep getting their invoice reminders and late-fee notices. Booking emails no longer show "&" in the inbox preview. Gallery sign-in links now work for 24 hours after they are first opened, so a work email scanner can no longer use one up before your client clicks it.
-
Fixed
Clients keep archived agreements, and reactions work
Archiving an agreement tidies your list again without taking it out of your client's portal. Clients can react to every message in their Messages page, including ones not tied to a project. Logos up to 5 MB now show on invoice PDFs.
-
Fixed
Your studio name shows in full on emails
Since October 19, the sender name on emails to your clients dropped every lowercase letter r (so "Photography" showed as "Photog aphy"). Sender names now show exactly as you typed them.
-
Fixed
Picked photos now show their ring
In proofing galleries, a selected photo now shows its green ring and a favorited one its rose ring, so clients can see their picks at a glance while they scroll.
-
Fixed
Pages fit at every window size
On mid-size windows, the studio and client dashboards could run past the edge of the screen and hide the right side of the top bar. Pages now always fit, and the client dashboard stacks its Projects and Invoices cards when there is not room for both side by side.
-
Fixed
Invoices show the project's delivered date
An invoice linked to a project now shows the project's Delivered date even when the invoice was drafted before you delivered, on your invoice page, the client's copy, the printable invoice, and the PDF. A delivered date you type on the invoice itself still wins.
-
Fixed
Activity shows who paid, and when a bank payment is still clearing
Payments in Recent activity now name the client who paid and link to the invoice, like "Alani Stewart initiated an ACH payment for WFC-013". A bank transfer then adds "ACH payment cleared, invoice paid" once it settles (or "ACH payment failed" if the bank returns it).
-
Fixed
Watermarks print exactly as previewed, about 3x faster
The watermark printed into your photos now matches the live preview in Gallery settings: same size, spacing, angle, and font. Applying it to a big gallery is roughly three times faster, and the project page shows how far along it is ("Applying watermark... 42%"). Galleries watermarked before today are re-applied automatically.
-
Fixed
Bank transfers say "pending" until they clear
When a client pays by bank transfer (ACH), your email and notification now say the payment is pending and typically clears in 3 to 5 business days, instead of "payment received." You still get a "cleared" email when it settles.
-
Fixed
Every date and time in your own time zone
Dates and times across Edit now follow your studio's time zone (from the state in Settings), for you and your clients: signed agreements, invoices, receipts, emails, reminders, and records. An invoice made in the evening is dated today, not tomorrow, and late fees and "due today" reminders follow your day, not the server's.
-
Fixed
Photo download button no longer opens the full-screen view
In a gallery with downloads on, tapping the download button on a photo now just downloads that photo, instead of also opening it full screen. In your Client view preview it shows the read-only note, like the other buttons.
-
Fixed
First Light rate applies automatically at checkout
First Light members now see and pay their 50% off for life the moment they subscribe, with no code to type.
-
Fixed
Big gallery orders open checkout in seconds
Buying hundreds of photos at once used to take up to a minute before checkout opened. It now opens almost right away. Checkout and the receipt emails list the first few photos plus a count, instead of every file name.
-
Fixed
Project pages load without jumping
A project page now opens already in its final layout, so the tabs, cover photo, and buttons no longer shift into place a moment after loading.
-
Fixed
Project status keeps up with selling and static galleries
Publishing a Selling gallery now moves the project to Delivered, like a Static gallery already did. Switching an already-published gallery to Static or Selling, for example to hand over finals after proofing, now moves the project to Delivered too. Status still only moves forward on its own.
-
Fixed
Masonry galleries show their photos right away
On a large Masonry gallery, the photos could appear far down the page, leaving a long empty stretch to scroll through first. Masonry is now laid out from each photo's known shape before anything loads, so the grid sits right under the toolbar, stays steady while photos load, and re-flows correctly when filtering to favorites or selections.
-
Fixed
Turning off a watermark applies instantly
Turning off a watermark that was already applied to a gallery's photos could leave the Editor on "Applying..." for a minute or two while the watermarked copies were cleaned up. The change now applies right away and the cleanup happens in the background.
-
Fixed
Cover repositioning follows your cursor
Dragging to reposition a gallery cover on the project page now moves the photo exactly with your cursor, even when zoomed in. Before, the photo lagged well behind the cursor, which made fine framing feel sluggish.
-
Fixed
Watermark shows on every gallery thumbnail
On a gallery with an applied watermark, the photo grid could show clean, un-watermarked thumbnails (the cover and full-screen viewer were watermarked correctly). Every thumbnail now shows your watermark too.
-
Fixed
Gallery cover keeps its framing
Resizing the browser window (or rotating a tablet) could slowly slide a gallery's cover photo away from the framing you set, a little more with each resize. The cover now always centers on exactly the spot you framed.
-
Fixed
Public projects show in your projects list
A Public project (one with no single client) was missing from the Projects list and only findable by search. It now appears in the list like any other project, marked "Public" in the client column. On the public project page, the booking status chip no longer shows, since there is no client to track it for.
-
Fixed
Gallery buyers stay out of your client list
Someone who buys from a public or shared gallery is a buyer, not a client. They were already kept out of your Clients list, and now the Payments ledger treats them the same way: a buyer's name is tagged "Gallery buyer" and links to their purchase history under Money, Gallery orders, instead of a client page.
-
Fixed
Pay button shows it is working
When paying an invoice or buying gallery photos, the Pay button now stays greyed out with a spinner and "Processing..." for the few seconds the payment takes, instead of looking idle. (A global form-protection helper was quietly re-enabling it right after the click.)
