The short version

Two strong CRMs, one now has galleries.

Dubsado is the cheaper, more customizable workflow tool, with your choice of payment processor, but it has no galleries, so photographers pair it with a gallery app. HoneyBook costs a little more and is easier to pick up, and since July 2026 it includes client galleries, with a print store in beta in the US. If you already love your gallery app, Dubsado is a great fit. If you want one bill and simple galleries, HoneyBook is.

If you need both halves

A business app plus a gallery app, or one app.

Most photographers end up paying for two things: the contracts, invoices, and booking, and a gallery app for the photos. Dubsado needs that second app. HoneyBook now has simple galleries. Edit is a third option built around the gallery, from $29 a month.

Dubsado plus a gallery app

Dubsado is $35 or $55 a month, and galleries, proofing, and photo sales come from a separate app on a separate bill.

HoneyBook with galleries

Galleries are included on every plan, with favorites and download limits. Proofing tools like selection limits weren’t in their help center.

Edit, built for photographers

Galleries with deeper proofing, plus contracts, invoices, booking, and payment plans on one project per shoot, from $29 a month. No print lab, website builder, or email marketing.

HoneyBook vs Dubsado questions

Does Dubsado have galleries?

No. Dubsado says it doesn’t include gallery delivery or a print lab, and photographers usually pair it with an app like Pic-Time, Pixieset, ShootProof, or CloudSpot.

Does HoneyBook have galleries now?

Yes. HoneyBook added client galleries in July 2026, on every plan. Storage is 200 GB on Starter and unlimited on Essentials and up, and a print store is in beta for US accounts.

Is HoneyBook cheaper than Dubsado?

No, Dubsado costs a little less at each level: $35 versus $36 a month to start, and $55 for Premier versus $59 for HoneyBook Essentials. HoneyBook includes galleries, though, so you may skip a second gallery app.

Can I use Stripe or PayPal with HoneyBook?

No. HoneyBook runs payments through HoneyBook Payments only. Dubsado works with Dubsado Payments, Square, or PayPal. Edit uses your own Stripe or Square account.

Is there one app built for photographers that does both?

Yes. Edit puts galleries with real proofing next to booking, contracts, invoices, and payment plans, from $29 a month with 0% of sales. It doesn’t fulfill prints or build websites.
