Where CloudSpot is great

CloudSpot packs galleries, a print store, and the business basics into one low price. Credit where it’s due.

  • A low price for a lot. Galleries, contracts, invoices, and booking start at $17 a month on Lite.
  • Prints and products. A print store with automatic fulfillment, albums, and printed cards. Edit sells digital downloads only.
  • Unlimited storage. The Unlimited plan has no storage cap. Edit’s plans include 50 GB, 500 GB, or 2 TB.
  • Mini sessions. Ready-made booking pages for mini-session days.

Where Edit is different

CloudSpot covers the basics for less. Edit is for photographers whose clients need more, especially businesses and teams.

  • Proofing that does more than favorites. Your client’s picks and their team’s Guest picks sit side by side, the Matched filter shows the shots everyone agrees on, and extra retouches are paid for right in the gallery (Studio and Agency).
  • Built for business clients. PO numbers, NET terms, automatic late fees, files that unlock when the invoice is paid, and on Studio and Agency, up to 15 people on one client account.
  • Your own payment processor. Edit takes 0% of every invoice, and clients pay through your own Stripe or Square account at its standard rates. CloudSpot runs invoice payments through its own processing at a flat 2.5% and adds 2% for clients who pay by card.
  • Your own domain. On Studio and Agency, galleries, the client portal, invoices, and booking all live on your domain.

Tyler Coleman, founder of Edit
“So many photographers I know run galleries in one app and invoices in another. That’s the split I wanted to end: one project, one client link, everything on it.”

Switching from CloudSpot

Is Edit a good CloudSpot alternative?

If you work with business clients or teams and want deeper proofing, PO numbers and late fees, a client portal, and your own domain, yes. If you want the lowest price or sell a lot of prints, CloudSpot covers that and Edit doesn’t fulfill prints.

Does Edit charge a fee on invoices?

No. Edit takes 0% of your invoices and gallery sales on every plan, and payments go through your own Stripe or Square account at its standard rates. CloudSpot processes invoice payments itself at a flat 2.5%, and clients who pay by card pay an extra 2%.

Is CloudSpot cheaper than Edit?

Yes. CloudSpot’s full suite starts at $17 a month and Edit starts at $29. Edit costs more for deeper proofing, a client portal, invoicing built for business clients, and your own domain. If you don’t need those, CloudSpot is a good deal.

Can I keep my CloudSpot galleries if I switch?

Yes. There’s nothing to move. Leave past galleries where they are and run new shoots through Edit.

Try Edit on your next shoot.

Nothing to migrate. Run one real job through it, start to paid, and see how it feels.
