New
Discount codes at signup
New studios can enter a discount code when they sign up, or arrive with one already filled in from a campaign link. The code applies automatically when they subscribe after their trial.
-
Fixed
First Light rate applies automatically at checkout
First Light members now see and pay their 50% off for life the moment they subscribe, with no code to type.
-
Improved
Safer invoices and gallery sales
An invoice with a bank payment still clearing is locked until it settles. A refunded gallery order stops downloading. Gallery carts always charge your current prices and tell the buyer when their cart was updated. Discount codes can be used once per studio.
-
Fixed
Big gallery orders open checkout in seconds
Buying hundreds of photos at once used to take up to a minute before checkout opened. It now opens almost right away. Checkout and the receipt emails list the first few photos plus a count, instead of every file name.
-
New
Apple Pay and Google Pay for your clients
Clients can now pay invoices and gallery orders with Apple Pay or Google Pay, right above the card field. It works with Stripe and Square and sets itself up on your studio address automatically, with nothing to configure.
-
Fixed
Project pages load without jumping
A project page now opens already in its final layout, so the tabs, cover photo, and buttons no longer shift into place a moment after loading.
-
Improved
Photographer's pick stands out on any photo
The thumbs up now has a thin white outline and is a little larger, so it stays visible on dark corners even when your accent color is dark.

New
Email activity: see every email your clients get
Settings > Email activity lists every email Edit sends your clients, from invoices and reminders to receipts, agreements, and gallery notices, with whether each one was delivered. Open any email to see exactly what your client saw. If an email bounces, you get a notification right away so you can fix the address. Each email also shows up on its client and project timeline.

Project status keeps up with selling and static galleries
Publishing a Selling gallery now moves the project to Delivered, like a Static gallery already did. Switching an already-published gallery to Static or Selling, for example to hand over finals after proofing, now moves the project to Delivered too. Status still only moves forward on its own.
-
Improved
Require payment before gallery downloads
Require payment before downloads now covers static gallery downloads too, not just Deliverables, and you can turn it on right in Gallery settings. While an invoice is unpaid, your client's gallery shows a Pay to download button and unlocks automatically once they pay. Friends and family on a shared link just see no download buttons, never a payment message.
-
New
Download just your favorites
On a static gallery with downloads and Favorites on, open the Favorites tab and the Download all button becomes Download favorites, with your count. One click zips just the photos you hearted, full size, so you don't have to grab them one by one or download the whole gallery.
-
Improved
A clear deadline for your First Light rate
First Light members now see exactly when to subscribe to keep 50% off for life: the Billing page and a reminder email a week before your free run ends both show the date. Your code applies when you subscribe, and it counts once your first payment goes through.

Improved
Twice as many gallery fonts
The gallery Editor's Font picker now has 21 pairings, seven each of serif, sans serif, and script. New: Playfair Display, EB Garamond, Bodoni Moda, Italiana, Montserrat, Manrope, Josefin Sans, Pinyon Script, Allura, Parisienne, and Alex Brush, each paired with a matching body font. A gallery still loads only the font it uses, so pages stay fast.

New
Three new gallery covers: Framed, Journal, and Split-screen
Gallery settings > Cover layout has three new looks that set your title off the photo. Framed shows the cover photo in a mat like a print, with the title below. Journal reads like a magazine page, with a large title, a thin rule, and your welcome message above a wide photo. Split-screen puts the photo on one half and the title beside it. All of them preview live and work with your fonts, colors, and cover framing.

New
Smart start presets in the gallery Editor
Start a gallery from a ready-made preset for the kinds of photography you do, from weddings and portraits to product and food. The best match for each project comes first, based on how it was booked, its name, and what you used for that client before. One tap sets the gallery type, its key settings, and a polished look, then asks only what it needs, like your selection limit or price. Nothing changes for your client until you click Apply.
-
Improved
Pick every kind of photography you do at signup
When creating a studio, "What kind of photography do you do?" is now a set of tappable choices, so you can select all that apply instead of just one. Your picks fill in your studio settings.

New
Favorites on Static and Selling galleries
Turn on Favorites in Gallery settings and viewers can heart their favorite photos and filter to just those, great for a couple choosing album picks. Each person keeps their own list: your client's hearts save to their account, and guests on a shared link add their name and email on their first heart. Proofing galleries work exactly as before.
-
Fixed
Masonry galleries show their photos right away
On a large Masonry gallery, the photos could appear far down the page, leaving a long empty stretch to scroll through first. Masonry is now laid out from each photo's known shape before anything loads, so the grid sits right under the toolbar, stays steady while photos load, and re-flows correctly when filtering to favorites or selections.
-
Improved
Every gallery setting previews live
In the gallery Editor, changing the gallery type, selection limit, extra retouches, price, downloads, or layout now updates the preview right away, just like the design options. You see exactly what your client will get before anything goes live, and nothing changes for your client until you click Apply.
-
New
Square grid layout
Galleries can now use a Square grid: even rows of square thumbnails, each photo cropped to fit, with the full photo opening on click. Pick it in Gallery settings under Layout. It works for every gallery type, including proofing, and the photo-size slider, corners, and gap all apply.
-
Fixed
Turning off a watermark applies instantly
Turning off a watermark that was already applied to a gallery's photos could leave the Editor on "Applying..." for a minute or two while the watermarked copies were cleaned up. The change now applies right away and the cleanup happens in the background.
-
New
Save your gallery designs
Set up a gallery look you love in the Editor, then save it under Theme as one of Your designs: the theme, fonts, colors, corners, spacing, cover options, and watermark, all in one. Apply it to any gallery with one click, and update, rename, or delete designs right there. Each project shows the design (or theme) its gallery uses, marked edited if you have customized it since. Gallery type, price, and the welcome message stay with each project. The Editor's main button is now Apply (it applies your changes to this gallery), so it is never confused with Save design.
-
Improved
A simpler new project form
Creating a project now asks for just what the gallery needs: the gallery type with its details (downloads for Static, the selection limit and extra-retouch price for Proofing, the price for Selling) and the design to start from (Studio default, a theme, or one of your saved designs). The watermark and all the look options live in Gallery settings, where you can see them live on the preview.
-
Fixed
Cover repositioning follows your cursor
Dragging to reposition a gallery cover on the project page now moves the photo exactly with your cursor, even when zoomed in. Before, the photo lagged well behind the cursor, which made fine framing feel sluggish.
-
Improved
Client view shows exactly what your client sees
Client view on a project now shows the real client gallery instead of a simplified one: the proofing filter bar, hearts, selection checks, and Submit button, the Buy buttons and cart on a selling gallery, and the download button when downloads are on. It also shows your client's current favorites and selections. It is read-only, so you can look around freely without changing anything.
-
Fixed
Watermark shows on every gallery thumbnail
On a gallery with an applied watermark, the photo grid could show clean, un-watermarked thumbnails (the cover and full-screen viewer were watermarked correctly). Every thumbnail now shows your watermark too.
-
New
Cover text color
Colors in the gallery Editor now include Cover text, so the title, date, and welcome on your cover photo can be cream, stone, charcoal, black, or any color, not just white. Pick a dark color for a bright cover photo and the cover's shading automatically flips to light so the text stays easy to read.
-
New
More cover options
In the gallery Editor, Cover layout now has a "None" option that shows just your cover photo with only the welcome message on it. You can also hide the studio logo or name and the shoot date on any cover, choose the View gallery button style (outline, solid, a simple text link, or hidden), and set the welcome message size from small to extra large.
-
Improved
Every gallery setting in one place
The gallery design editor and the Gallery settings window are now one full-screen Editor, opened from "Gallery settings" on each project. Gallery type, price, layout, comments, and watermark sit at the top, with theme, fonts, colors, and the rest of the design below, all with a live preview. The watermark now updates live on the preview as you adjust it, and Save saves your changes and takes you straight back to the project. The "Preview" button is now "Client view", since it opens what your client actually sees through their link.
-
Fixed
Gallery cover keeps its framing
Resizing the browser window (or rotating a tablet) could slowly slide a gallery's cover photo away from the framing you set, a little more with each resize. The cover now always centers on exactly the spot you framed.
-
New
Photo corners and spacing
Two more controls in the gallery design editor: Corners (square, soft, or rounded photos and cover) and Gap (no space, tight, regular, or airy between photos). Both start from your theme, so nothing changes until you pick one. The Editorial cover also now has truly square corners, edge to edge.
-
New
Choose your gallery colors
The gallery design editor now has Background and Accent. Pick from curated backgrounds like Linen, Sage, or Midnight (or any custom color), and an accent for the buttons and highlights, independent of the theme. Text automatically switches between light and dark so it always stays readable.
-
New
Choose your gallery fonts
The gallery design editor now has a Font section with nine curated pairings: classic serifs, clean modern sans serifs, and flowing scripts. Each pairs a cover title font with an easy-to-read font for the rest of the gallery, and you see it change live in the preview. Set a studio-wide default in Settings, Gallery defaults, and override it per gallery.
